Dumitru Braghiș

Dumitru Braghiș (born 1957 in Chișinău) was the Prime Minister of Moldova from 1999 until 2001. Then, he was a member of the Parliament of Moldova, where he represented the Party Alliance Our Moldova.
==Biography==
Born on 28 December 1957, in Grătiești village, Chișinău municipality, in a family of peasants.
In 1975 - finished a secondary school no. 1 in Chişinău,
In 1980 - graduated Technical University, specialty power engineering.
In 1980 - worked as an engineer-constructor at the Tractor’s Factory.
1981–1992 — held various eligible positions in the Komsomol.
1987–1988 — instructor in Central Committee of Communist Party of Moldova.
1989–1991 — elected as deputy in the Supreme Soviet of the Soviet Union.
1992–1995 — General Deputy Director of "Moldova EXIM" Association.
1995–1997 — General Director of the Department for Foreign Economic relations of the Ministry of Finance.
1997–1999 — Deputy Minister, Deputy-Minister of Economy and Reforms.
December 1999–April 2001 — Prime Minister of Moldova.
Since 2001 — deputy in Parliament of the Republic of Moldova.
Since 2006 — chairman of the Social Democratic Party.
He has Ph.D. in Economics.
